Antique French Straw Hat, Edwardian, Panama Straw Bonnet,
Wide Brim, Green Velvet Bow, Period Clothing

Lovely antique hat, Edwardian era or earlier, perfect for period
displays. Beautiful straw patina.Green velvet ribbon.Original old
paper label inside.Ribbon is sewn in place. Small size, may be
for a child or worn atop the head. Judging from the label and
straw quality we believe it to most likely be an early 1900s to
Edwardian era piece. Most likely the velvet ribbons were cut at
the edge because this would have been used for tying.Can
add to the hat if desired. One small dark spot in the straw, that
does not detract.Expect some imperfections, this is very old.

Collectable, good for period displays or costumes.

Measures;
Hat size is not marked.Interior circumference is 19.5″,
4.25″ wide brim, 2.25″ hat height.This is a very small sizing
and may have been worn atop the head.

Lovely well cared for condition for its’ age, velvet ribbon has some
wear but overall good for the age. The original paper label has a small
tear.As mentioned above the velvet was most likely cut (which would have originally been the hat ties).It may need a bit of re-shaping.
