Vintage Royal/Cobalt Blue Hat for Women

Era 1920’s-1930’s

Original vintage not a reproduction

Like New, this hat is so fresh and clean I don’t think it was ever worn. The fabric is in perfect condition. Loop pile fabric, soft and shiny. There are no labels on the hat. I know it is authentic as I bought the hat many years ago with items of the same era, all in pristine condition.

Photographed on a Mannequin Head 21 inches in circumference. Her hair is coiffed with curls. In the photos the lumpy bits are those curls. Your head must be no more than 21 inches around for this hat to fit, 22 inches and it will be a tight fit. Little to no stretch for this fabric. Thread will break if you attempt to pull the hat on a larger head. Crown of hat is created with X shaped seams.

Knitted fabric (see photo in sun, that’s the color) is a very vibrant royal/cobalt blue. The outside of the knitted fabric is a loopy nap of soft shiny fabric, the underside is standard knitted fabric. This hat is in the best condition I have ever come across. I have had the hat for years, protected from light.

21 inches in circumference-measured around hat at inside seam-where brim and hat meet
Depth 6 inches-measured from center top of X to seam of brim.
2.5 inch brim is stitched around making it lay flat and giving it more body.
